What is a Dietitian?
Accredited Practising Dietitians (APD’s) are the qualified experts in nutrition. Food is the fuel for our bodies. Dietitians apply the art and science of human nutrition to help people understand the relationship between diet and disease.
In Australia all Dietitians are also Nutritionists. However, Nutritionists without a Dietetics qualification cannot take on the specialised role of a Dietitian. A Dietitian can help you to make dietary choices to attain and maintain health, and to prevent illness and treat specific conditions.
